Revolution Theme Images

Für alle Revolution Pro Media Theme Besitzer könnte dieser Beitrag von Interesse sein, wenn die Darstellung der Bilder in Postings immer etwas verhunzt aussieht.

Im eigentlichen Sinne ist das automatische Anordnen der Bilder ja gewünscht um dem Anwender etwas Arbeit abzunehmen, allerdings hat es mir nicht wirklich gefallen und wesentlich mehr Arbeit wie nutzen bereitet.

Abhilfe schaffen die folgenden Code Zeilen, die in der style.css Datei angepasst werden müssen.

- diese Zeilen entfernen:

Zum Schluss die ganze Geschichte speichern und auf eine Artikel Seite der Wahl wechseln. Einmal den Reload Button klicken und die Artikel Bilder sollten alle Standard mäßig entweder links oder an der entsprechend gewünschten Stelle angeordnet sein.

Schickes Theme - WP Pixels

Wenn ich nicht schon ein hübsches Theme gekauft hätte, wäre WP-Pixels momentan mein Favorit!

Vielleicht ist es im Beispiel ein wenig Tux lastig, aber ich finde es hat eine klare Anordnung und lässt sich mit Sicherheit auch gut um Funktionen erweitern, insofern man noch welche benötigt.

Alle Funktionen die im Beispiel zu sehen sind laufen “Out of the Box”, es gibt zwei verschiedene Seiten Templates und es arbeitet hervorragend mit Benutzerdefinierten Feldern zusammen, welche für die Bilder in der “Featured Section” verantwortlich sind.

Vielleicht sucht ja gerade jemand etwas neues, weil es wieder Zeit für einen Tapetenwechsel ist.

Ich denke, anschauen bzw. antesten wird kein Fehler sein

Lokal entwickeln mit JumpBox

Es ist schon ein Stückchen her das ich mich mit einer lokalen WordPress Installation beschäftigt habe, da ich nie sonderlich große Lust hatte alles in der einen Installation zu bauen und zu testen um es dann Stück für Stück in die echte Installation zu übernehmen.

Mir liegen Operation am offenen Herzen einfach mehr, wobei es garantiert tausend gute Gründe gibt das nicht zu tun!!!

Einer der für mich momentan wichtigsten Gründe ist, dass mir ab und an das Image eines Basstelblogs angehangen wird. Im Grunde ist das bestimmt auch nicht einmal verkehrt da ich ja schon recht oft so am Werkeln bin, das Besucher nur eine schnöde “Maintenance Message” zu sehen bekommen.
Vielleicht ist das auch noch der Jugendliche Leichtsinn, der da durchschlägt

Deshalb der kurze Hinweis auf JumpBox.
Als kleine Alternative zur üblichen MAMP & Co. Installation.

Basierend auf allen gängigen Virtualisierungsanwendungen ist es nahezu Plattform unabhängig und kann zur Entwicklung überall eingesetzt werden.
Relativ schlank mit knappen 150 MB und 3 Minuten Geduld beim ersten Start ist man im Handumdrehen startklar.
In diesem Beispiel geht es natürlich um die WordPress JumpBox, die es aber noch in vielen, vielen anderen Formaten gibt wie z.B.: Joomla, OTRS, Drupal usw.
Ideal natürlich auch für alle die sich gern einmal verschiedene Systeme ansehen möchten aber keine Lust auf die übliche RTFM Prozedur haben

Da ich natürlich auch nicht alles doppelt machen wollte habe ich mich zur Übernahme meiner echten WordPress Installation einfach schnell an diese relativ kurze Anleitung gehalten.

WordPress Plugins als Wurfholz

Vor einigen Tagen oder sogar schon Wochen, warf der Martin mal wieder mit Stöckchen durch die Gegend.
Er hat damit wieder seine “Plugin Parade” zurück ins Leben gerufen und möchte auch von anderen gerne einmal wissen was so in der Blogwelt alles an kleinen Tools und Helferlein genutzt wird.

Gute Idee, wie ich finde da ich schon längst diesen Teil meines Blog´s damit füttern wollte

WordPress 2.5 Kompatibel? - [UpDate]

Das es mittlerweile die WordPress Version 2.5 auch als komplette DE-Edition gibt, brauche ich heute wohl keinem mehr erzählen, aber Grund genug für einen kurzen Beitrag gibt es auf jeden Fall.
Vielleicht für manch einen interessant der sich mit dem einen oder anderen Plugin quält.

Diverse Plugin Problemchen hatte ich bisher bei fast jedem Update, das ist sicherlich auch manchem nicht entgangen.
Allerdings war es in Summe nix großes und ließ sich auch innerhalb kürzester Zeit recht problemlos lösen.
Das nicht immer alles auf anhieb so klappt ist ja auch nichts neues.

Grund genug bei all dem Rumgezicke, das aktuelle Update als Anlass für eine radikal Kur zu nehmen.
